Having experienced eviction, homelessness, and low wages, I understand the barriers to success. As Alder, I’ll continue advocating for pay equity, expanding access to transportation, and supporting small business development with affordable spaces and grants. I’ll champion social mobility initiatives, including enhanced services for seniors and improved accessibility for people with disabilities, ensuring that all residents have the opportunity to thrive and build a better future.
Housing Affordability
As Alder, I’ll continue to work alongside local organizations, developers, and advocates to find sustainable solutions to homelessness and ensure affordable housing options for all. My focus will remain on making Madison a community where everyone—whether renting or owning—can live with stability and dignity. I am committed to addressing housing affordability and advocating for equitable growth that includes every resident.
Public Safety & Community Well-Being
I am committed to strengthening Madison’s Vision Zero Initiative, prioritizing pedestrian safety and traffic calming across District 17. I support proven violence prevention programs and am dedicated to ensuring that public spaces remain safe for everyone. Additionally, I will foster community trust by ensuring public safety services are responsive to neighborhood needs, creating a safer and more supportive environment for all residents.
Resident Engagement & Empowerment
I will continue holding regular office hours to engage directly with constituents, ensuring that everyone has a chance to voice their concerns and share ideas. Through listening sessions, neighborhood walks, and facilitating discussions on neighborhood developments, I aim to strengthen community connections and ensure active participation in shaping our district’s future. I will also advocate for the availability of more city services and resources in the district while empowering residents to stay connected and actively participate in local government.
